NaDMA formerly NERO was established in 1985 under a Pan Caribbean Disaster Preparedness Project. NaDMA is a department within the Ministry of National Security, Public Administration, Home Affairs, Information & Disaster Management.
The body is charged with the responsibility of coordinating all disaster-related activities on Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique
The Mission of the Agency is to reduce the loss of life and property within Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique by ensuring that adequate preparedness, response and mitigation measures are in place to deal with the impact of hazards.
The vision of the Agency is to develop a culture of prevention and safety among all sectors of society. NaDMA is a department of the Office of the Prime Minister and is headed by the Prime Minister.
